Deeper Thinking. Smarter Building

I’m Mustafa “Vic” Uzumeri, the sole proprietor of Deeperpoint Inc., a Canadian corporation dedicated to exploring innovative applications of artificial intelligence in networking and market making. Through Deeperpoint, I personally manage and fund the development of two exploratory projects: Cosolvent and GrainPlaza.

My work focuses on the fascinating challenge of making “thin” markets work better.  The term “thin” comes from Nobel laureate Alvin Roth. In “thin markets”,  buyers and sellers struggle to find each other despite mutual benefit. These markets resist traditional automation because transactions are too unique and complex for conventional databases, yet too small to justify expensive human brokers.

I suspect that modern AI … specifically Large Language Models combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (LLM+RAG) and selective fine-tuning … can automate the nuanced matching that human experts traditionally provide. This technology can “thicken” thin markets by making them more efficient and accessible.

Cosolvent serves as the open-source foundation for this experiment, while GrainPlaza demonstrates its real-world application in specialty grain trading. I’ve made Cosolvent freely available because I’m convinced these tools can transform inefficient market systems, particularly in marginal applications and developing countries where improved market access could create significant economic opportunities for underserved communities.

Guiding Principles

Simplicity with Depth

With the advent of generative AI, good tools don’t have to be complex or expensive —they just need to answer well thought-out questions.

Open Collaboration

Cosolvent champions open development and shared problem-solving. There are far more thin markets than there are big companies to address them.

Growth Through Iteration

The work is built step-by-step, often starting small and evolving through feedback and reflection. The emerging AI LLM technology provides ample opportunity to experiment and prototype wild ideas.

Where We’re Going

The flagship project, Cosolvent, is an open-source AI inference platform that enables users to create detailed profiles simply by uploading existing documents. Using LLM+RAG technology with industry-specific context libraries, Cosolvent answers pre-engineered matching questions to connect compatible parties automatically.

GrainPlaza serves as a first commercial application – a proprietary portal built on Cosolvent’s foundation targeting specialty wheat and grain trading. Working with experienced grain traders, we’re developing a platform to facilitate container-based specialty grain exports directly between small producers and overseas buyers, bypassing traditional bulk shipping intermediaries.

Where this is headed: Following GrainPlaza’s launch as a demonstration site populated with AI-generated synthetic users and real industry data, I hope to explore multiple paths forward. While I’m open to investment opportunities to accelerate multi-vertical expansion, I would be equally fulfilled seeing Cosolvent’s open-source foundation adopted and extended by entrepreneurs and established market operators who recognize opportunities in their own thin market sectors.
